Pregnancy Update: 36 Weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 36 weeks

HIS SIZE: 19 inches long & 6 pounds; the size of a papaya

WEIGHT GAIN: 30 lbs

SLEEP: Up early but falling asleep early as well

SYMPTOMS: Ashton has decided that he want to lay in "C" and kick me in the side all day...lol

STRETCH MARKS: Nada

MOVEMENT: Bumpin' and rollin'

THREE THINGS I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW:

1: Quite time in the morning - One benefit to waking up at the crack of dawn (3-3:30) is I have a lot of time to myself. I spend the extra hours listening to audio books while drinking decaf flat whites. A few times a week I even get motivated and walk on the treadmill:) I am thankful for this time because I know my quiet moments to myself are about to come to an end as Ashton's arrival is fast approaching!

2:  Pancakes - No explanation needed!

3Pics of Jer and Ry in Disney with my family - We were lucky enough to get invited to join my sis and brother-in-law at the Pro-Bowl in Orlando. As it so happens, traveling during the last few weeks of pregnancy is frowned upon (imagine that) so I made the responsible choice to stay behind. Talk about grownup problems. Although I am not there taking part in the fun, I am loving seeing the pictures, videos and realtime fun via FaceTime. Can't wait to go back! [Update: Raven's Disney shirts are from Etsy]

Pregnancy Update: 35 Weeks

"I Love Paris" Shirt: Wildfox | Buffalo Plaid Shirt: Nordstrom
HOW FAR ALONG: 35 weeks

HIS SIZE: 18-19 inches long & 5-6 pounds; the size of a bunch of carrots

WEIGHT GAIN: 28 lbs and I am starting to feel the extra weight take its toll!

SLEEP: It seems 3 AM is my new wake time. Good thing I am going to bed at 8ish.

SYMPTOMS: Around 1:30 in the afternoon, the exhaustion really sets in. Being able to take a daily nap would be oh so amazing!

STRETCH MARKS: None but I have been packing on the lotion!

MOVEMENT: Wiggly

THREE THINGS I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW:

1: Being finished with Ashton's Nursery - I have such a sense of satisfaction knowing his room is complete (minus trying to figure out where to hang this super cute mobile we received as a gift). I am so thankful for my super handy husband who assisted with every aspect (from furniture assembly to installation of wall decals to installing the light fixture and dimmer switch). Now is I can just get motivated to wash all of his clothes and linens...
2: Nespresso Creatista Espresso Machine - This thing rocks! Jeremiah and I have a love for lattes (mine is decaf, of course) and I am pumped that we can make cafe quality espresso drinks at home. Thanks to my sis for selling me on this!

3: Where the Sidewalk Ends - Ryann is currently obsessed with this book. She loves the poems and simple illustrations and begs us to read it to her every night. A Light in the Attic is sitting in my Amazon cart...we need a little variety!

Ashton's Monochrome Nursery

Done and done. If Ashton came tomorrow, we would be ready!

Designing and decorating his room was so much fun. Jeremiah might disagree:)
#1: I love, love, love black and white. #2: It is drastically different from Ryann's Restoration Hardware inspired room that was designed around an ivory Bratt Decor iron crib with a pastel pink and gray color palette. Don't get me wrong, Ryann's nursery will always be one of my favorites but I enjoyed going a completely different direction this time.

Pregnancy Update: 34 Weeks

HOW FAR ALONG: 34 weeks

HIS SIZE: 18 inches long & 5 pounds; the size of a savoy cabbage

WEIGHT GAIN: 26 lbs; my belly is big!

SLEEP: Aside from rolling over every hour, pretty darn good!

SYMPTOMS: Just the effects of being 25+ pounds over my normal weight including sore ankles and pelvis pressure. I am sure I am starting to waddle a bit.

STRETCH MARKS: None but I have been packing on the lotion!

MOVEMENT: A lot

THREE THINGS I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW:

1: Black and White EVERYTHING - I have always loved black and it makes up 40% of my closet so I was thrilled to get to use black and white in Ashton's nursery. While there are pops of color, it is pretty darn monochrome and I couldn't be happier with the way it turned out. Hopefully I will post the final pics of his room in the next week or two.
2: The 3 day weekend - SO looking forward to this upcoming 3 day weekend! I think we all were a little too accustom to our extra time during Christmas break:)

3: The Bachelor - While it is not enlightening tv, it is definitely mindless fun and I look forward to it each week. It doesn't hurt that all of my girlfriends from work are also entangled in the show so it is a fun topic of conversation.

BOOKS I AM READING [OR LISTENING TO]:
I just finished Pilgrimage this week and I was mesmerized by the life and upbringing of Jorge Bergoglio, better known as Pope Francis. Although I am no longer a practicing Catholic, I am so proud that this is the man serving as Pope. His ideals, faith and humility are truly humbling. Not my typical read but a good one!

Pregnancy Update: 33 Weeks

Dress: ASOS | Necklace: Vanessa Mooney
HOW FAR ALONG: 33 weeks

HIS SIZE: 17-19 inches long & 4-6 pounds; the size of a cauliflower blossom

WEIGHT GAIN: 25 lbs; my belly is getting HUGE!

SLEEP: Off and on; seems like I sleep good for a few nights in a row and up at 1AM on others.

SYMPTOMS: Ryann had the hiccups all the time during the third trimester and I have been patiently waiting to see if Ashton would get them, too. On Monday night, I finally felt the rhythmic movement that was no doubt him hiccuping in utero. It is the sweetest (and somewhat odd) sensation.

STRETCH MARKS: None but I have been packing on lotion!

MOVEMENT: A lot

THREE THINGS I AM LOVING RIGHT NOW:

1: The Happy Planner - Let me preface by saying this is the first planner I have ever purchased, unless you count the one I used to have to get stamped in middle school. My skepticism about planners has always been pretty high as I am a "digital" kind of girl. At the suggestion and high recommendation of my friend Shelly, I decided to the give the "paper" planner a try. I am hooked! I have already done such a better job of being purposeful about planning my weekends and week nights! Of course, I still keep my iCal up to date, but this has been a great addition. Not only do I keep up with important family events and personal dates, I am also using as place to document my daily gratitude journal and goal setting. This planner (the exact one I have) is gorgeous on the inside and fun to work with. I even bought a few of the sticker packs and spend time with Ryann planning out our free time and letting her help pick out the stickers. I am so impressed with these that I bought one for my mom and another for a friend.

2: Malibu Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner - As a natural blonde, I dread the winter brassiness that my hair goes through each year. I have tried a lot of "blonde" and purple shampoos and nothing has been as effective as Malibu Blonde! Not only does a little go a long way, it is free of sulfates, preservatives, parabens, gluten and fragrance. It is gentle enough that I use it on Ryann's hair, too. She think the electric purple color is pretty spectacular!

3Sephora Super Supreme Body Butter - I have posted about this body butter before. It is literally saving my skin during these drying months of fluctuating temperatures and dry air. While I cannot fully attribute this to a lack of stretch marks this pregnancy, it sure can't hurt. I slather this stuff on my belly every night before bed. Again, this is another product that is formulated without parabens, sulfates and phthalates.
